Meta signs GPU capacity deal with AI firm Firmus

Meta has announced an agreement with Australian AI infrastructure company Firmus for graphics processing unit (GPU) compute capacity. The deal concerns Firmus's AI factories located in Southeast Asia.

The compute capacity will be built on Nvidia's DSX platform, which Nvidia describes as a full-stack system for designing, simulating, and operating AI factories. This is intended to support Meta's AI research, model development, and training efforts.

The agreement includes contracted capacity and options for further expansion. Specific financial terms, capacity volumes, or the exact Southeast Asian locations have not been disclosed. Firmus has previously secured significant funding, including a $505 million round backed by Nvidia.
