Meta Unveils New AI Models, Muse Wonder
Meta has introduced its new AI models, Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full, which the company states represent a significant advancement in its AI development and reposition it at the forefront of the industry.

Meta, formerly known as Facebook, has launched its new AI models named Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full. The company announced the release in a blog post, asserting that the models signify a major leap in its AI development efforts and place it back at the frontier of the field.
Muse Wonder Full boasts frontier capabilities, according to Meta, positioning it among the most capable AI models globally. Meta plans to integrate the most advanced version of the model into features across its platforms, including its personal agent. The model will also be available through an API and an AI-assisted coding tool.
The company has heavily invested in AI research since last year, establishing Meta Superintelligence Labs and recruiting top talent. Despite some early challenges, including researcher turnover, the new models appear to demonstrate the payoff of these investments. Meta was previously known for its Llama series of models, which were among the first open-weight offerings from a major tech firm.
Meta claims that the Muse Wonder models, in certain benchmarks, outperform top models from competitors such as Anthropic and OpenAI. While benchmark results do not always perfectly reflect real-world performance, this represents a significant step forward for Meta's models. The company also previously released the Muse Spark model and a smaller open model called Muse Glimmer earlier this year, and has stated plans for future larger open-weight models.
