Metacon Launches Next-Generation Electrolyser Stacks in Europe

Metacon AB has launched next-generation pressurized alkaline electrolysis stacks in the European market. The company is collaborating with PERIC Hydrogen Technologies on the new stacks, which are designed to improve the efficiency, durability, and system performance of industrial hydrogen production.

The new generation of stacks is intended to strengthen the commercial case for customers by addressing key cost drivers in large-scale hydrogen production. Metacon suggests this will lead to a highly competitive levelized cost of hydrogen (LCOH) in the European market.

Metacon AB produces the stacks in partnership with PERIC Hydrogen Technologies in Handan, China. These new generation electrolyser stacks are expected to play a key role in the company's efforts to advance industrial-scale hydrogen production.
