Meta's new AI image model can add other Instagram users to photos
Meta has launched its new AI image generation model, Muse Image. The model enables the inclusion of other Instagram users within AI-generated photos through the platform's tools.
Meta has introduced Muse Image, its new AI image generation model developed by its Superintelligence Labs division. The model is already powering image creation tools within the Meta AI app, Instagram, and WhatsApp, with plans to expand to Facebook and Messenger soon.
Muse Image is part of Meta's expanding family of Muse AI models, which are replacing the company's previous Llama lineup. Alexandr Wang, head of Meta's Superintelligence Labs, described Muse Image as "agentic," meaning it works in conjunction with the Muse Spark large language model to interpret prompts, perform web searches, and plan before generating an image.
A notable feature of Muse Image is its ability to incorporate other Instagram users into AI-generated pictures. This functionality introduces new avenues for social media content creation and collaboration directly within the platform.
