METLEN and PETRONAS Sign LNG Supply Agreement

Greek energy company METLEN and Malaysian energy firm PETRONAS, through its subsidiary PETCO Trading (UK) Limited (PTUK), have signed a Sale and Purchase Agreement (SPA) for long-term Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) supplies to Greece. PTUK will supply the LNG under the terms of the SPA.

The agreement is expected to bolster METLEN's role in the energy sector and contribute to energy security and diversification in Southeast Europe, reducing reliance on traditional gas sources.

Specific details regarding the volume and schedule of LNG deliveries have not been disclosed. METLEN has previously outlined plans to expand its energy infrastructure and improve supply chain resilience, objectives this new agreement with PETRONAS is designed to support.

PETRONAS is a global oil and gas player with extensive experience in the LNG market and is recognized as one of the world's leading LNG producers. This collaboration with METLEN aligns with PETRONAS' strategy to broaden its international market reach and support clients navigating the energy transition.
