Metropolitan Police Service to upgrade communications with Frequentis
London's Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) is upgrading its command and control system with Frequentis AG's 3020 LifeX™ multimedia communication platform. The upgrade aims to enhance emergency communication management and officer deployment.

The Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) in London is upgrading its command and control system by implementing Frequentis AG's 3020 LifeX™ multimedia communication platform. This upgrade is designed to improve the management of emergency communications from the public and coordinate the deployment of officers to incidents, planned events, and other operations.
Frequentis is providing the solution as a key contractor to Leidos. The LifeX™ platform will unify various communication paths into a single, manageable display, enhancing flexibility and ease of use for operators. The objective is to reduce emergency response times and simplify public contact during emergencies.
The upgrade covers policing across London's 32 boroughs and over 1,600 square kilometers. The new system is expected to enable more flexible and efficient responses to critical situations and improve the management of operational events.
The decision to upgrade the system highlights the need for modern, integrated communication solutions in busy metropolitan areas. Frequentis' platform is anticipated to significantly enhance the MPS's operational capabilities.
