Metsä Board appoints Malin Nygren as VP, Husum Pulp and Board Mill
Metsä Board has appointed Malin Nygren as permanent Vice President of its Husum Pulp and Board Mill, effective July 1, 2026. Nygren has served as the interim Vice President since March 2026.
Metsä Board announced Tuesday the permanent appointment of Malin Nygren as Vice President for its Husum Pulp and Board Mill, effective July 1, 2026.
Nygren transitions into the permanent role after serving as the interim Vice President since March 2026. The interim arrangement followed Olov Winblad von Walter's appointment to a new role focusing on Operations Transformation.
Metsä Board, a producer of lightweight folding boxboards, foodservice boards, and white kraftliners, operates under the larger Metsä Group. The company has a stated goal to phase out fossil energy in its production by 2030.
Nygren will continue to report to Laura Remes, SVP of Production and Supply Chain, and will be a member of Metsä Board’s Operations Leadership Team.
