Metsä Board Carton Wins Carton of the Year for Second Consecutive Year
Sephora's After Christmas Calendar 2025, produced with Metsä Board paperboard, has been awarded Carton of the Year at the European Carton Excellence Award 2026. This marks the second year in a row a Metsä Board-backed package has secured the top prize.
A packaging solution from Sephora, the After Christmas Calendar 2025, has been named Carton of the Year at the European Carton Excellence Award 2026. The award ceremony took place in Rome on September 17.
The calendar was created by Autajon Packaging Belgium for Sephora, utilizing MetsäBoard Pro FBB Bright paperboard in 290 and 350 g/m² weights. The jury recognized the packaging for its aesthetic appeal and practical design.
This is the second consecutive year that a packaging solution made with Metsä Board paperboard has won the top award at the European competition. Last year, a different Sephora packaging also received the Carton of the Year title.
In addition to the main award, two other packaging designs featuring Metsä Board paperboard were also recognized by the judges. The European Carton Excellence Award received numerous entries from across the continent.
