Metsä Board ends production at Tako board mill in Tampere

Metsä Board has implemented a support program for the mill's 191 employees, facilitating their re-employment through internal recruitment, collaboration with employment authorities, and retraining. At the time of the production shutdown, 95 employees had secured new positions.
Production of Tako's products has been transferred to Metsä Board's Kyro mill, ensuring continuity in customer deliveries. The dismantling of machinery and production equipment is scheduled for 2026, with the future use of the property yet to be determined.
