Metsä Board's SkinCare 2.0 gift box design wins award in Shanghai

Metsä Board's SkinCare 2.0 gift box design has received the 'in green' award at the 2018 Luxe Pack Shanghai trade show. The packaging solution is designed to replace plastic in cosmetic applications with fibre-based materials.

The new design features a rigid outer box, produced using a new pulp molding process, and three lightweight paperboard inner cartons. The packaging offers a unique opening and reclosing experience while ensuring efficient performance on automated packaging lines.

Previously, the SkinCare 2.0 design also received recognition at the Hong Kong Print Awards, where it was named 'Champion of Packaging Printing, Paper Packaging' and won two merit awards for 'Best Creative Printing' and 'Best Crafted Book'. The Luxe Pack 'in green' award recognizes eco-friendly products demonstrating specific positive environmental impact.
