Metsä Group to renew enterprise resource planning system
Metsä Group is initiating a large-scale project to harmonize its enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions between 2021 and 2025. The project is budgeted at EUR 150 million.
Metsä Group will undertake a significant project to renew its enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions from 2021 to 2025. The initiative is projected to cost EUR 150 million.
The primary objective of this extensive project is to consolidate the Group's diverse current ERP systems into a single, modern platform. This harmonization aims to support the management of Metsä Group as a unified entity with standardized processes across all business areas.
"The change is significant both for the system and for the way we operate. The renewal will increase efficiency across all business areas and improve management of the Group as a unified company," stated Tapio Nuutinen, SVP, CIO of Metsä Group. He added that a harmonized ERP solution and common data will make processes more efficient and enhance customer service.
In the initial phase, Infosys has been selected as the supplier for the ERP solution, with SAP serving as the principal technology provider. This system upgrade is intended to streamline operations and improve data management throughout the organization.
