Metsä Tissue Appoints New Greaseproof Paper Head, Reports Strong EcoVadis Rating
Metsä Tissue has named Michael Lanschützer as SVP of Greaseproof Papers and reorganized its structure to drive growth. The company also achieved its seventh consecutive EcoVadis Platinum rating with a score of 91/100.

Metsä Tissue, part of Metsä Group, has appointed Michael Lanschützer as Senior Vice President for its Greaseproof Papers business area. Lanschützer will lead this segment, which is a key part of the company's product offerings.
These appointments and structural changes align with Metsä Tissue's strategy to accelerate growth and improve efficiency. The company previously launched a new pan-European organization in 2026 and renewed its overall organization earlier in the year to support these objectives.
In recognition of its sustainability efforts, Metsä Tissue achieved its seventh consecutive EcoVadis Platinum rating, scoring 91 out of 100. Additionally, Metsä Tissue Germany was recognized as a Top Employer for the sixth year in a row in 2026.
Metsä Group reported a comparable operating result of EUR -4 million for January-March 2026. The full-year 2025 result was EUR -85 million. The company also recently inaugurated its new tissue mill in Mariestad, Sweden, noted as one of the world's most modern.
