Metso Oyj has introduced updates to its High Compression Thickener (HCT) technology, aiming to enhance slurry thickening and water recovery processes within the mining and mineral industries.

The HCT system is built upon decades of innovation and is engineered to deliver high performance even under variable process conditions. Metso states the technology helps maximize water recycling and achieve denser underflow, contributing to operational cost efficiencies.

Key features of the HCT include advanced feeding systems like Reactorwell™, which optimizes flocculant consumption and improves thickener operability. The Directional Autodil™ and Turbodil™ feed dilution systems are also part of the offering, designed to ensure effective dilution and flocculation tailored to specific process requirements.

In addition to the thickener itself, Metso provides related services such as tailings management, filtration services, spare parts, and upgrade solutions.
