Metso Launches Modular Conveyors for Mining Sector

Metso Oyj has launched its new modular FIT™ and Foresight™ conveyor systems, catering to the specific needs of the mining industry. These standardized conveyor modules and premium components are engineered for reliable material transportation, aiming to accelerate installation and enhance operational efficiency.

The Foresight™ overland conveyors are designed to connect primary crushing stations with coarse ore stockpiles. The FIT™ in-plant conveyors are compatible with Metso FIT™ crushing plants and built for demanding mining applications. Metso states that the modular design has reduced delivery times by up to 25% and setup times by up to 15%.

According to the company, the modularity simplifies planning, configuration, and maintenance processes. The integration of ConveyInsights™ predictive maintenance and flow control technology is also intended to help customers achieve their productivity targets. To streamline the planning of Foresight™ overland conveyors, Metso has developed the William Conveyor Explorer software, which aids in evaluating design options and downloading necessary modules for planning software.

Metso provides a comprehensive suite of services to ensure continuous conveyor performance, including optimization, lifecycle services, and premium spare and wear parts. The company has a global track record of installing over 1,000 kilometers of conveyor systems.
