Metso Outotec's Annual General Meeting approved a name change to Metso Corporation. The company name change is effective from May 4, 2023.

Metso Outotec Oyj has officially changed its name to Metso Corporation following approval at its Annual General Meeting. The name change took effect on May 4, 2023. The company stated the decision follows the successful integration of Metso and Outotec into a single, strong entity.
"We will now focus on growing a strong unified Metso company and brand," stated Metso's President and CEO Pekka Vauramo. He added that the company combined two valuable businesses into one strong Metso, with its strategy and culture remaining unchanged. The new, short, and established name is intended to be well-recognized by all stakeholders, with services being a crucial part of the business.
The Outotec name will be retained as a product brand, used for key technologies and products. The company's visual identity will remain unchanged, though its logo will be updated to reflect the new corporate name.
The company’s executive team has also been renamed the Metso Leadership Team (MLT). Metso provides technology, solutions, and services globally to the aggregates, minerals processing, and metals refining industries. In 2022, its sales were approximately EUR 5.3 billion, and it employs over 16,000 people in nearly 50 countries.
