Metso Oyj Divests Metal Recycling Business
Metso Oyj has completed the divestment of its Metal Recycling business to Mimir, a Stockholm-based investment company. The transaction was initially announced at the end of 2021.
Metso Oyj has finalized the sale of its Metal Recycling business line to Mimir, an investment company headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden. The divestment includes the brands Lindemann and Texas Shredder, which will now operate globally under the Lindemann name.
The completion of the sale follows an announcement made on December 31, 2021. The Metal Recycling business will be based in Düsseldorf, Germany, and approximately 160 employees have transferred to the new entity.
Metso Oyj continues to focus on its core operations in sustainable technologies and solutions for the global aggregates, minerals processing, and metals refining industries. The company aims to enhance customer efficiency and reduce environmental risks.
Metso Oyj, based in Helsinki, Finland, employs over 15,000 people in more than 50 countries, with 2021 sales totaling approximately EUR 4.2 billion. The company is listed on Nasdaq Helsinki.
