Metso Oyj Introduces New Screening Media Tension Systems

Metso Oyj has launched a new range of screening media tension systems designed for various screening applications, from fine to coarse separations. The systems are available in rubber, polyurethane, and classic wire materials.

The company states that these customized solutions are engineered to enhance screening performance and cost-effectiveness. They are intended to minimize blinding and pegging while increasing throughput. The focus is on providing longer wear life and a precise fit to improve equipment uptime and reduce maintenance.

Among the offerings are the Trellex® TFX systems, specifically designed for fine screening of materials prone to blinding conventional wire screens. Metso notes that the TFX system utilizes a flexible rubber membrane to counteract blinding and is supplied as a complete package including tension hooks.

Additionally, the Trellex TCO range, for coarser screening applications (4-100 mm), is available in wear-resistant rubber and polyurethane (TCO-PU). The TCO-PU panels are suitable for wet screening and can be fitted to existing screen frames. The Trellex PCL system combines polyurethane's wear resistance with the open area of wire media for demanding conditions.
