Metso to acquire Brazilian component manufacturer Italbronze
Metso has signed an agreement to purchase Italbronze Ltda, a Brazilian manufacturer of bronze alloy components, to secure its aftermarket supply chain for crushing equipment.

Metso Oyj is set to acquire Italbronze Ltda, a Brazil-based producer of bronze alloy parts used primarily in mining and industrial crushing machinery. The move aims to consolidate Metso's control over its aftermarket value chain.
Italbronze, which has supplied Metso for over 30 years, employs approximately 470 people. The acquisition is intended to address supply chain stability and the availability of critical spare parts for Metso’s global client base. Heikki Metsälä, President of Metso’s Services business area, stated that integrating Italbronze’s expertise in alloy manufacturing will improve delivery performance for their customers.
While the financial terms of the deal remain undisclosed, the transaction is not expected to materially alter Metso’s financial performance. The deal is slated for completion by the end of 2026, pending regulatory approval.
