Metso to acquire Brazilian manufacturer Italbronze to secure spare parts supply

Metso has agreed to acquire Italbronze Ltda, a manufacturer of bronze alloy components based in Brazil, to bolster its global crushing aftermarket operations. The acquisition is intended to secure essential manufacturing expertise and improve supply chain resilience for critical spare parts.

Italbronze has been a strategic supplier to Metso for more than 30 years. By integrating the company, Metso aims to gain greater control over its value chain, ensuring faster delivery performance and higher equipment uptime for its mining and industrial customers. Approximately 470 employees are expected to transition to Metso upon completion of the deal.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed, and Metso stated that the acquisition is not expected to have a material impact on its financial performance. The deal is slated to close by the end of 2026, pending customary regulatory and antitrust approvals.
