Metso Corporation has signed an agreement to deliver essential process equipment for the Viscaria copper mine located in Kiruna, Sweden. The contract with Gruvaktiebolaget Viscaria facilitates the project's progression into its execution phase.
The Viscaria mine is projected to produce 120,000 tonnes of copper concentrate annually. This production level aims to position the mine as Sweden's second-largest copper producer and a notable contributor to the European copper market.
The order is valued at approximately EUR 40 million and has been recorded within Metso's Minerals segment for 2026. Equipment deliveries are anticipated to commence over the course of the next year.
