Metso Oyj is establishing a new screen manufacturing center in Oradea, Romania, as part of its strategy to grow its screening business. This expansion is intended to increase production capacity and improve proximity to customers, enhancing service and supply capabilities across Europe, Central East Asia, and the Middle East.
The new facility will strengthen Metso's capabilities in producing capital screening equipment, as well as supplying spare and wear parts, including rubber screening media. The company anticipates the center will employ 70–80 people by the end of 2026.
"This investment is a continuation of our regional strategy implementation," stated Jouni Mähönen, Vice President of the Screening business line. "A new center in Romania will improve responsiveness to meet customer needs and answer growing demand in growth markets."
The Oradea facility will complement Metso's existing stationary screen manufacturing footprint, which includes sites in France, Brazil, India, South Africa, and China. The company serves both the minerals and aggregates segments with a wide range of screening solutions and services.
