Metso's Concorde Cell enhances fine particle flotation recovery

Metso Oyj has made available a recording of a webinar that showcases its Concorde Cell technology. This technology is specifically developed for the flotation of fine and ultra-fine particles, aiming to enhance metal recovery in mining operations.

The Concorde Cell is described as an enhanced pneumatic flotation technology using forced air. Since its launch in 2021, the technology has reportedly been implemented in multiple references across base metals, precious metals, and industrial minerals sectors. Metso states that the technology enables the recovery of fine particles that were previously difficult or impossible to capture, potentially leading to increased revenue and reduced operating costs per ton of metal produced.

During the webinar, Metso's Technology Manager in Flotation, Nathalie Kupka, outlined the fundamentals of the Concorde Cell, its advantages, and recent results from laboratory to industrial scale. The objective was to demonstrate how the Concorde Cell can offer benefits to processing plants.

The technology has found applications in various sectors and is suitable for processing base metals, precious metals, and industrial minerals. Metso aims to provide solutions that contribute to more efficient resource utilization in the mining and metals industry.
