Mexico Recognized with Six Beaches Among Americas' Best in Condé Nast Traveller Awards
Six Mexican beaches, including Tulum and Playa del Carmen, have been named among the top 20 in the Americas in Condé Nast Traveller's 2026 Readers' Choice Awards. Holbox also ranked among North America's top islands.

Mexico's Ministry of Tourism announced that six of the country's beaches have been recognized among the 20 Best Beaches in the Americas in Condé Nast Traveller's 2026 Readers' Choice Awards. The recognized destinations include Tulum, Playa Balandra, Playa del Carmen, Akumal Beach, Puerto Vallarta, and Playa del Amor in the Marietas Islands.
Mexico's Secretary of Tourism, Josefina Rodríguez Zamora, highlighted the distinction, stating it reinforces Mexico's position as a premier travel destination. She noted that this international acknowledgment reflects the quality of Mexico's coastlines and the positive experiences of visitors.
Furthermore, the island of Holbox was named among the top three islands in North America. This varied recognition spans both coastal appeal and the allure of island destinations within Mexico.
