Michael Finkler re-elected to Bitkom ERP Working Group board
Proalpha Group executive Michael Finkler has been re-elected to the board of the Bitkom ERP working group, a key body for German software standards.
The German digital association Bitkom has confirmed the re-election of Michael Finkler, a member of the Proalpha Group executive board, to its Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) working group. The announcement, made during a recent industry meeting, continues Finkler’s tenure alongside other industry figures.
Other board members confirmed for the term include Dirk Bingler of GUS Deutschland GmbH and Karsten Sontow of Trovarit AG, with Frank Naujoks from Microsoft Deutschland GmbH joining as a new member. The working group acts as a consultative body, focusing on the intersection of ERP technology and the operational requirements of Industry 4.0.
Finkler emphasized that ERP systems serve as the core digital infrastructure for enterprises as they undergo digital transformation. He noted that emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, machine learning, and blockchain, are increasingly being integrated into ERP frameworks to support sophisticated business processes.
By engaging with this working group, Proalpha continues to participate in the strategic development of standards for German enterprise software providers and their customers.
