Michelin Guide Expands Hotel Recommendations
The Michelin Guide, known for its iconic red cover, is expanding its recommendations beyond restaurants to include hotels globally.

The Michelin Guide, recognized for its iconic red cover and century-long history of recommending exceptional dining and lodging, has broadened its scope to include hotels worldwide.
Originally established by the Michelin brothers in 1900 to assist motorists, the guide has evolved into a global authority. It now offers unique hotel recommendations, aiming to provide travelers with outstanding experiences by evaluating establishments based on their individuality, personality, comfort, and service.
Michelin's inspectors, who are industry professionals and travel anonymously, assess locations using five universal criteria: quality of products, mastery of culinary techniques, harmony of flavors, personality of the chef reflected in the dish, and consistency over time.
In addition to celebrating restaurants with Bib Gourmand, one, two, or three Michelin Stars, or a Michelin Green Star, the guide is highlighting hotel excellence through "La Clef MICHELIN." This distinction specifically recognizes the unique character and personalized service of selected hotels.
Michelin aims to offer a comprehensive travel experience, with over 5,000 accommodations now accessible through its digital tools and platforms.
