Microsoft 365 Family Plans to Share AI Benefits
Microsoft will now allow Microsoft 365 Family and Premium subscribers to share AI features, including Copilot, with up to five other users on a plan.
Microsoft is expanding the sharing of its AI-powered features for Microsoft 365 Family and Premium subscriptions. The update will enable subscribers to share Copilot and other AI-related benefits with up to five additional individuals under the same plan.
Previously, these AI functionalities were restricted to the primary account holder, even though they were bundled into Microsoft 365 Personal and Family plans last year. The changes are set to roll out over the coming months, with subscribers being notified via email.
The sharing capability will also extend to access to Office applications and OneDrive storage. This move makes advanced AI tools more accessible to families and small groups, aligning with broader industry trends in collaborative software.
The expansion addresses user demand for more comprehensive sharing options for AI services, as Microsoft continues to integrate artificial intelligence into its productivity suite.
