Microsoft has issued the stable release of its Edge 150 web browser, introducing the ability for users to log in using their Google accounts alongside existing Microsoft account support.

The update also brings changes to operating system compatibility. Edge 150 will be the final version to officially support macOS 12 Monterey, with subsequent versions requiring macOS 13 Ventura.

Additionally, Microsoft is accelerating the migration of "Workspaces" to a new V2 architecture. Workspace data will be transferred from OneDrive and SharePoint to Edge's Sync service, with associated collaboration and sharing features being removed.

New V2 Workspaces created post-migration will be retained on each device and will not sync across them. This migration began in Edge 145 and is planned to conclude with version 150.

The Google account login feature is being rolled out gradually. Microsoft states this aims to simplify the import of bookmarks and browsing history for users who do not wish to use a Microsoft account.
