Microsoft Expands Advanced Shader Delivery to Qualcomm, Intel, Nvidia Hardware

Microsoft announced it will expand support for Advanced Shader Delivery (ASD) to Qualcomm, Intel, and Nvidia hardware this month. This expansion ensures the feature covers all major GPU manufacturers' platforms.

2 October 2026

Microsoft announced on November 1st that it is expanding support for its Advanced Shader Delivery (ASD) feature to hardware from Qualcomm, Intel, and Nvidia this month. With AMD's RDNA architecture already supporting ASD, this move ensures the feature is now available across all four major GPU manufacturers' platforms.

The ASD feature allows for the direct download of cloud-compiled shaders, a process that significantly reduces game loading times and eliminates shader stuttering. This enhancement aims to provide a smoother and more responsive gaming experience for users.

Qualcomm has already integrated ASD support into its Snapdragon X Elite processors' integrated graphics via a driver update in September. Intel and Nvidia support is expected later this month. Compatible Intel devices include Arc B570/B580 discrete graphics cards and integrated graphics in 2nd and 3rd generation Core Ultra processors. For Nvidia, all RTX GPUs and RTX Spark systems will be compatible.

The first game to leverage this multi-GPU vendor ASD support will be "Gears of War: E-Day".
