Microsoft Extends Windows 10 ESU Support to October 2027
Microsoft has notified Windows 10 users enrolled in the Extended Security Updates (ESU) program that their devices will receive support until October 12, 2027.

Microsoft is extending support for Windows 10 devices enrolled in its Extended Security Updates (ESU) program. Users who have subscribed to the ESU plan will now receive security updates through October 12, 2027. This extension provides an additional year of support beyond the original end date of October 13, 2026.
The company has reportedly sent out emails to ESU participants informing them of the extended timeline. According to these communications, the extra year of support will be automatically applied, requiring no further action from users. This ensures continued security patching for these systems, even after the general end of support for Windows 10.
To qualify for the ESU program, devices must be running Windows 10 version 22H2 (Home, Pro, Pro Education, or Workstation) and have the latest updates installed. Microsoft offers several ways to enroll: by syncing PC settings for free, redeeming 1,000 Microsoft Rewards points, or purchasing a license for $30.
A single ESU license covers up to 10 devices tied to the same Microsoft account. For users already registered, the extended coverage will automatically apply to their existing subscriptions.
