Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Adds Racing Content and Engine Wear
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 has released a new racing expansion pack featuring historical aircraft and realistic engine wear simulation.
Microsoft has released a new racing content expansion for its game "Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024." The update introduces the "National Championship Air Races," simulating real-world aerial competitions.
Players can compete in races set in Reno, Nevada, and Roswell, New Mexico, both renowned locations for such events. The game includes five distinct racing classes, such as Unlimited Class, Jet Class, and the new STOL Drag Competition. Players can engage in time trials or challenge others in multiplayer modes.
A component of the expansion is the "Reno & Roswell Racer Pack 1," a paid add-on offering 40 historical racing aircraft, including the P-51D Mustang and L-39C Albatros. These can be purchased individually or in groups of ten, providing access to iconic planes.
Furthermore, the update introduces an optional engine wear and damage simulation system. This feature requires players to carefully manage engine load and throttle to prevent overheating and damage during high-speed maneuvers, enhancing the simulation's realism.
