Microsoft launches pay-as-you-go option for Xbox Cloud Gaming
Microsoft will allow anyone to access Xbox Cloud Gaming in November without an Xbox Game Pass subscription. The new model allows users to purchase cloud gaming hours individually.

Microsoft is opening Xbox Cloud Gaming to all users in November, removing the requirement for an Xbox Game Pass subscription. The company is introducing a pay-as-you-go model, enabling users to play cloud-based games without a recurring fee.
The change is aimed at players who do not regularly use cloud gaming and find a monthly subscription unnecessary. Under the new model, users can purchase gaming hours through the Xbox Store and stream eligible games they already own on supported devices.
"Players will be able to purchase cloud playtime hours through the Xbox Store and stream eligible games they own on supported devices," the Xbox team stated. "This will provide another option for people who want occasional access to cloud gaming or do not want a recurring Game Pass subscription."
The pay-as-you-go option is part of broader developments for Xbox Cloud Gaming. The reform aims to lower the barrier to entry for the service and attract a wider range of players.
