Microsoft Releases Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4
Microsoft and Activision have launched Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 for next-gen consoles and PC, concluding the rebooted sub-series.
Microsoft and Activision have officially released Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, developed by Infinity Ward. The title is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. This release serves as the conclusion to the rebooted Modern Warfare trilogy and marks the franchise's return to Nintendo hardware for the first time since 2013.
The game excludes support for previous-generation consoles, specifically PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. On PC, the game is available through Steam, Battle.net, and the Xbox PC platform. Microsoft has confirmed that the title will not be available on Xbox Game Pass at launch, requiring a separate purchase for all users.
Notably, the game omits the traditional zombie mode, opting instead for a DMZ evacuation experience. The PC version features support for current rendering technologies including DLSS 4.5, FSR Redstone, and XeSS 3, requiring approximately 115GB of disk space.
