Microsoft releases performance updates for Windows 11 on 8GB RAM devices
Microsoft has introduced a series of memory management optimizations aimed at improving system responsiveness and multitasking speed on entry-level hardware.

Microsoft has rolled out a fresh update for Windows 11 that targets memory efficiency. The company aims to address performance bottlenecks on computers equipped with 8GB of RAM, a segment of the user base that frequently struggles with resource-intensive tasks.
Windows chief Pavan Davuluri stated that laboratory testing indicates a 20 percent improvement in system responsiveness. Furthermore, internal benchmarks suggest that multitasking speeds have increased by up to 40 percent compared to previous iterations.
The performance gains are primarily achieved through advanced memory compression techniques, allowing the operating system to retain more data in active memory rather than offloading it to slower storage. This update follows a broader trend of Microsoft attempting to refine the OS footprint for standard consumer hardware.
