Microsoft Surface RTX Spark Dev Box Available for Preorder at $5,999
Microsoft's new Nvidia-powered Surface RTX Spark Dev Box is now available for preorder, priced at approximately $6,000 and slated to ship in November.

Microsoft has opened preorders for its new Surface RTX Spark Dev Box development workstation, with a price tag of $5,999. Shipments of the device are expected to begin in November.
The new development workstation is based on Nvidia's Arm-based RTX Spark platform and includes 128GB of unified memory. Its 3D-printed aluminum chassis doubles as a heatsink and resembles the ventilation grilles on an Xbox Series X. The device has a 100-watt thermal envelope and features Nvidia's Tensor cores.
The price point is higher than Nvidia's DGX Spark mini PC launched last year. Component shortages, including RAM availability issues, have generally driven up PC prices.
The Surface RTX Spark Dev Box is launching alongside the new Surface Laptop Ultra. The device is targeted at developers requiring significant computing power and specialized Nvidia performance features.
