Microsoft Teams rolls out meeting audio preview function

Microsoft has announced the near-complete rollout of its audio preview feature for Microsoft Teams meetings. The update is designed to address common audio problems that can disrupt online collaboration.

The feature, which saw a global rollout in late June, allows users to test their microphone and speaker devices before a meeting officially starts. The interface automatically lists available audio equipment and provides testing options to ensure functionality.

According to Microsoft, this functionality is expected to significantly reduce audio-related disruptions and decrease the frequency of queries like "can you hear me?" during meetings, thereby improving meeting efficiency.

Additionally, Microsoft plans to update the Teams Planner application in late August 2026. This update will enable the creation of basic plans within private and shared channels, aiming to enhance organizational collaboration.
