Microsoft to Offer Deeper Discounts on Copilot, Introduce Integrated Super AI App

Microsoft is reportedly planning to significantly reduce prices for its Copilot AI service to encourage wider adoption among enterprise customers. Alongside aggressive discount strategies, the company is also developing an enhanced version of Copilot, referred to as a "super AI app."

Sources indicate that Microsoft has instructed its sales teams to offer discounts ranging from 30% to 50% on Copilot AI subscriptions. These price reductions are expected to be implemented as early as October. Larger deals, involving 1,000 or more seats, could see around a 30% discount, while significant purchases of 10,000 seats or more might qualify for up to a 50% reduction.

The planned "super AI app" aims to integrate advanced capabilities beyond current office suite functionalities. It is expected to incorporate AI-powered programming tools and intelligent agent skills, similar to those found in platforms like OpenClaw. This upgrade signifies a move towards making AI a more integral part of business operations.

This enhanced Copilot is intended to function not just as an assistant within applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams for tasks such as summarization and content generation. It is being positioned as an automation platform capable of utilizing tools, executing multi-step workflows, and aiding in software development, thereby embedding AI directly into end-to-end business processes.
