Microsoft's 25th Anniversary Xbox Priced at $899

Microsoft has confirmed the official price for its 25th-anniversary special edition Xbox console, setting it at $899.

The console features a translucent green design, reminiscent of the original Xbox's "OG Green" colorway. Pre-orders are scheduled to open on August 27th at 10 AM ET / 7 AM PT. The company stated that some of its most dedicated fans will receive early access to pre-order emails starting today.

The special edition console is set to launch on November 13th. It will be accompanied by a matching controller in the same "OG Green" color. Each console will be laser-etched and individually numbered, adding to its collectible nature.

In addition to the console and controller, Microsoft is including a full-game download of Halo: Campaign Evolved with each purchase. The underlying hardware specifications of this edition are consistent with the standard Xbox model, with the focus being on its unique aesthetic and commemorative features.
