Midea Building Technologies Achieves Six World No.1 Rankings by Euromonitor
Midea Building Technologies has secured six world No.1 positions according to Euromonitor International. The company focuses on energy efficiency in air conditioning systems and local production in Indonesia.

Midea Building Technologies has achieved six world No.1 rankings in various categories, according to independent market research firm Euromonitor International. These accolades include being named the World's No.1 AC Company for two consecutive years (2024-2025) and the World's No.1 Residential Inverter AC Company for three years (2022-2024), with one in every four globally produced units being Midea. The company also ranked highest in split AC brands, R290 ACs, air treatment, and smart home appliances.
Midea attributes its sustained success to significant investment in research and development, exceeding $2 billion over the past five years. The company operates 38 R&D centers across 12 countries and holds over 25,000 patents. In Indonesia, Midea's flagship Celest series is manufactured locally, enhancing its suitability for local needs and availability.
A key focus for Midea is energy efficiency. Its Full DC Inverter system adjusts compressor and fan speeds in real-time, potentially increasing efficiency by 15-20% compared to systems with only inverter-controlled compressors. The Celest series further incorporates AI ECOMASTER technology, which uses predictive algorithms to adjust temperature, potentially saving up to 30% energy while maintaining precise temperature control of ±0.3°C. This technology aids consumers in managing electricity consumption and accommodating homes with lower power capacities.
