Midea Guides Air Conditioner Choice for Malaysian Apartments
Midea Building Technologies has released a guide to help residents in Malaysian apartments select the right air conditioning unit, emphasizing inverter technology's benefits for energy savings and quiet operation.

Midea Building Technologies, a manufacturer of air conditioning systems, has published a guide aimed at assisting residents in Malaysian apartments with their air conditioner selection. The guide addresses the unique challenges of urban living in condominiums and apartments, such as limited space for outdoor units, proximity to neighbors, high humidity, and electricity costs.
The company highlights the advantages of inverter air conditioning technology for energy efficiency and reduced noise levels. According to Midea, inverter units consume less power by maintaining a set temperature rather than cycling on and off at full capacity. In Malaysia, where electricity tariffs increase with higher consumption, inverter units can lead to significant monthly savings, particularly during periods of heavy use.
Midea offers four inverter series in Malaysia: Celest, Chione, Numen, and Avigator. Each series is designed to meet different requirements, featuring technologies like AI ECOMASTER for energy optimization and Prime Guard protection for enhanced durability of outdoor units against environmental factors. Features such as anti-corrosion Hyper Grapfins and Hyper Graphene-coated pipes are included to ensure longevity.
The guide also focuses on quiet operation, a critical factor in multi-unit dwellings with thin walls. Inverter technology allows units to run at lower frequencies once the desired temperature is reached, minimizing noise. The Chione series further offers a dedicated silent mode for the outdoor unit. Additionally, Midea units incorporate an I-Clean function for automatic self-cleaning and the Midea SmartHome app for remote control and energy consumption monitoring. Midea Building Technologies aims to provide solutions that enhance living comfort in Malaysia's climate while promoting energy conservation and long-term durability suitable for apartment living.
