Midea Launches Split Air Conditioners Under ₱30,000 in Philippines

Midea Building Technologies has released new split-type air conditioners in the Philippines, with prices remaining under ₱30,000 (approximately $510 USD). The range prioritizes inverter technology, aiming to offer long-term value over short-term savings.

The company highlights that inverter units prove more economical over time due to reduced electricity consumption. These units adjust compressor speed based on room temperature, unlike conventional models that operate at full power or shut down completely. Midea's Full DC Inverter models utilize DC power for the compressor, indoor, and outdoor fans, while the AI ECOMASTER feature further enhances energy efficiency.

The new Midea Celest, Chione, and Numen series offer a 5-star energy efficiency rating and the AI ECOMASTER function, promising up to 30% additional energy savings and ±0.3°C temperature accuracy. These models are designed to suit the Philippines' tropical climate, including anti-corrosion features and rapid cooling capabilities.

Additionally, the units are equipped with features like Cool Flash for faster cooling and Air Magic for air purification, which eliminates 99% of airborne bacteria. The I-Clean function provides an automatic evaporator cleaning cycle. Midea has also developed the Silent Mode for ODU feature, reducing noise from the outdoor unit, crucial for densely populated areas and apartments.

Midea recommends an inverter unit, particularly for households running their air conditioner for over six hours daily. The company suggests that a well-chosen unit, considering energy efficiency, cooling performance, quiet operation, and durability, represents a sensible investment for Philippine conditions.
