Midea outlines technical guidelines for rice cooker operation
Midea Building Technologies has released operational recommendations to optimize the preparation of rice using automated cooking appliances.

Achieving consistent results in a rice cooker requires precise attention to water ratios and grain preparation. Midea notes that thorough rinsing of the rice is a fundamental step to remove surface starch, which prevents the final product from becoming excessively sticky or clumped.
Technicians recommend a water-to-rice ratio ranging between 1:1.5 and 1:1.75, contingent upon the specific variety of grain utilized. The company advises that for models such as the MB-FS5021W, users should adhere to calibrated measuring tools to ensure the automated heating systems function within their intended parameters for even heat distribution.
A critical phase in the process is the resting period. Following the completion of the cooking cycle, allowing the rice to sit for 10 to 15 minutes enables the moisture to redistribute evenly through the grains. Midea identifies the premature opening of the cooker lid and incorrect liquid proportions as the primary factors that negatively affect texture.
