Midea Showcases Smart Home Technology at IFA Berlin

Midea is presenting its newest smart home innovations at IFA 2026 in Berlin, operating under the theme "Simply ideal." The company is highlighting AI-powered solutions and energy efficiency, aiming to enhance home comfort, reduce costs, and integrate technology seamlessly into daily life. These efforts align with Midea's broader mission to bring thoughtful technology to homes globally.

A central feature at the exhibition is Midea's new AI-powered home ecosystem, SMART MASTER. This system seeks to connect household appliances into a centrally managed ecosystem. The AI Agent function within the system enables appliances to understand and respond to user commands naturally, facilitating features like an automatic "Welcome Home" mode or recipe suggestions based on refrigerator contents.

Midea is also introducing AI ECOMASTER, a system designed to optimize energy consumption across home appliances. The system learns household routines and adapts to changing energy needs, utilizing renewable energy or lower grid prices when available. Additionally, the company is demonstrating robotics applications, including robots that assist with kitchen tasks.

The company is also reinforcing its European presence through a new five-year partnership with FC Barcelona. IFA Berlin will also feature product presentations from Teka, a brand within the Midea Group.
