This partnership is set to commence at the beginning of the 2026/2027 football season. As part of the deal, Midea's logo will be prominently featured on the left sleeve of the first team's official match jerseys and training kits, increasing brand visibility during La Liga matches at Spotify Camp Nou.
The collaboration aims to unite innovation with a shared passion for sports. FC Barcelona's First Vice President, Rafael Yuste, stated that Midea's leadership in smart home solutions and commitment to innovation align perfectly with the club's forward-thinking ethos. Lewis Fu, President of Midea International Business, expressed enthusiasm for a long-term association, envisioning mutual success both on and off the field.
This sponsorship marks a significant step in Midea's expanding international sports engagement strategy. The company's portfolio of sports sponsorships includes major events such as the AFC Asian Cup 2027, the African Cup of Nations 2025, and the CONCACAF Gold Cup 2025, alongside club competitions like CONMEBOL Copa Sudamericana and AFC Champions League Elite.
