Midea Unveils SMART MASTER AI Home System at IFA 2026

Midea Building Technologies is showcasing its new AI-powered home ecosystem, SMART MASTER, at IFA 2026 in Berlin. The system is designed to create an intelligent home that listens, understands, and responds naturally, aiming to make smart technology a seamless part of daily life.

The core of SMART MASTER is an AI agent that supports 140 languages and features an 8-meter voice recognition range with a 0.4-second response time. This agent enables continuous conversations without requiring repeated wake words and integrates directly into appliances like air conditioners, refrigerators, and ovens. Interaction is also possible through the Midea app, in-car systems, and smart speakers.

The system includes specialized "agents" for different functions. The "Efficiency Agent" helps manage energy consumption by optimizing solar power usage and leveraging favorable electricity tariffs. The "Comfort Agent" adjusts home climate settings, such as temperature and humidity, based on external conditions and user presence. The "Health Agent" assists with cooking by analyzing refrigerator contents and recommending recipes according to family dietary habits.

Furthermore, the "Service Agent" provides support for appliance maintenance, offering diagnostics through photos or real-time video calls and updating inventory based on receipt scans. It can also identify clothing care labels to set appropriate washing programs. IFA is a major international consumer electronics and home appliance trade show, serving as a key venue for companies like Midea to unveil new technological advancements.
