Midjourney acquires astrology app Co-Star
AI company Midjourney has acquired the astrology app Co-Star. Deal terms were not disclosed.

AI company Midjourney has acquired the social astrology app Co-Star, according to Bloomberg. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Co-Star, which reports approximately 4.3 million monthly active users, allows users to generate their astrological birth charts, which can then be shared with friends within the app. The application uses both AI and human writers to create horoscopes, compatibility assessments, and other advice based on a user's astrological data.
Midjourney, best known for its AI-powered image and video generators, appears to be expanding its product offerings. The company has previously signaled intentions to develop a medical arm and spa services, with the Co-Star acquisition marking a new venture into the consumer wellness space.
Co-Star's team of about two dozen employees will join Midjourney as part of the acquisition. Their experience in building consumer applications may indicate Midjourney's future plans to launch its own standalone app.
