Midstream Health Secures $20 Million to Assist Hospitals in Revenue Recovery

AI-focused startup Midstream Health has raised $20 million in a Series A funding round led by Valtruis, with participation from returning investor Andreessen Horowitz. The company provides financial infrastructure designed to help healthcare organizations manage complex contract agreements and recover lost revenue.

Hospitals frequently negotiate multi-million dollar contracts, but discrepancies often arise in rebates, pricing, and invoice management due to fragmented data systems. Midstream Health uses agentic AI to monitor these agreements, flagging payment gaps that might otherwise go unnoticed.

Co-founder Venkat Mocherla stated that the company aims to improve financial sustainability within the healthcare sector by helping hospitals reclaim entitled funds. These recovered resources are intended to be redirected back into patient care, addressing financial pressures facing modern health systems.
