MigoTech Ltd. has launched a service in Ghana allowing users to sell digital gift cards, including Apple and Amazon, for the local currency, cedis. Payouts are processed instantly to mobile money wallets.
MigoTech Ltd. has introduced a new service in Ghana enabling consumers to sell their digital gift cards and receive payment in the local currency, Ghanaian cedis. The company states that payouts are processed quickly, directly to mobile money accounts.
The service, operating as MigoGiftCard, accepts over 50 different gift card brands, including popular options like Apple iTunes, Amazon, Steam, and Razer Gold. According to MigoTech, Apple iTunes gift cards are the most frequently traded in Ghana. Other supported brands include Google Play, Xbox, and PlayStation.
The selling process is outlined in four steps: users create an account, select the gift card type, enter card details, and then receive payment. The company emphasizes that payments are made via mobile money services such as MTN MoMo, AirtelTigo Money, or Telecel Cash. The cryptocurrency USDT is also offered as an alternative payout method.
MigoTech claims to offer competitive rates for gift cards and promises fast payouts. The company notes that it has processed over 1.8 million orders and served more than 300,000 customers since 2018. Users can check the value of their cards in advance using a calculator on the company's website.
