Migros Luzern Utilizes Scania Trucks Efficiently

The Migros Luzern cooperative has successfully integrated eight new Scania R410 trucks into its fleet over the past 14 months. The vehicles, comprising seven semi-trailer tractors and one refrigerated truck, have fully met operational expectations.

All eight trucks are powered by the same 13-liter, 410 horsepower six-cylinder engine, delivering 2,150 Nm of torque. This engine configuration has proven to be both efficient and economical in terms of fuel consumption.

Migros Luzern's fleet consists of approximately 60 heavy-duty vehicles, with the new Scania trucks covering an average of 70,000 kilometers annually. These trucks are responsible for delivering goods to all Migros stores across central Switzerland. Drivers particularly value the vehicles' maneuverability and visibility, especially in challenging delivery situations.
