MiHoYo Opens Global Test Recruitment for New UE5 Fantasy Game 'The Weavers'
MiHoYo has initiated global test recruitment for its new Unreal Engine 5 fantasy game, 'The Weavers'. This title marks a departure from the company's previous anime-style games, opting for a realistic visual approach and cooperative gameplay.

Game developer MiHoYo has begun global recruitment for testing of its upcoming Unreal Engine 5 fantasy game, tentatively titled "The Weavers" (also known as "NODUSFALL"). Advertising for the test began on August 21 across platforms including Facebook and Instagram, signaling the start of the game's promotional phase.
Described as a cooperative action game with realistic graphics, "The Weavers" is set in a world inspired by diverse mythologies. Players will take on the role of "weavers" in a realm where divine authority has fallen and order has collapsed. The objective is to gather divine power and strive to rebuild world order while facing formidable enemies and forging alliances.
Developed using Unreal Engine 5, the game's visual style contrasts with MiHoYo's previous titles like "Genshin Impact" and "Honkai: Star Rail," which feature anime-inspired aesthetics. "The Weavers" aims for a darker, more realistic fantasy experience, featuring environments ranging from dark swamps to grand divine realms, and presenting challenges against large monsters and bosses.
Previous indications from MiHoYo suggest the project involves an epic mythological world, open-world exploration, cooperative multiplayer, and large-scale battles against giant foes. The project, which began exploratory development about two years ago and was officially greenlit in early 2025, is a joint effort between MiHoYo's Tokyo and Montreal studios, targeting the global console market.
