miHoYo Reports Employee Arrests in Corruption Probe

Chinese game developer miHoYo has confirmed the arrest of two former employees in connection with a corruption investigation. The company stated that the employees, identified as Sun and Cheng, allegedly accepted bribes from suppliers in exchange for business opportunities.

The investigation revealed that Sun, formerly of the internationalization team, used his position to bring in specific suppliers and received bribes and kickbacks during project execution. Cheng, from the merchandise team, is accused of a prolonged scheme involving multiple suppliers, accepting repeated bribes and kickbacks.

Both individuals have had their employment terminated. They have been arrested by public security organs and their cases will be transferred for prosecution. miHoYo has also placed them on "Sunshine Integrity Alliance Blacklist" and "Enterprise Anti-Corruption Alliance," barring them from future employment with the company or its affiliates.

In addition to the employee actions, several supplier representatives are under investigation for alleged bribery. All involved suppliers have been permanently blacklisted and terminated from business dealings with miHoYo. The company emphasized that its pursuit of corrupt practices has no time limit and it will continue to investigate any discovered leads thoroughly.
